Prince William County is the 14th Wealthiest County in America

Forbes has published their annual survey of localities ranked by median household income. Once again, Prince William ranks in the top 25, and this time we're at number 14.

As I told the News & Messenger's Keith Walker, all the pieces are in place to make this Prince William's decade.

2010 State of the County

Another year has come to a close. A difficult year, and one marked by the deepest national recession since the Second World War. One marked by many losing their jobs. And one marked by anxiety.
Prince William was particularly hard hit. As the housing bubble burst, foreclosures reached 7000. Government revenues fell.

Economic Development Task Force Formed

PRINCE WILLIAM, VA…..The Prince William Board of County Supervisors appointed a renowned list of regional and national leaders in the business and education community to serve on the Prince William County Economic Development Task Force. The list includes representatives from Governor-Elect McDonnell’s Transition Team, George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College and numerous business leaders.

Stewart Praises Connaughton Pick

Prince William, VA- Chairman Corey A. Stewart praised today’s announcement of Sean Connaughton as Governor Elect Bob McDonnell's choice as Virginia Transportation Secretary. “Virginia is lucky to have someone who cut their teeth on Prince William’s innovative road building program continuing in that role.”

Supervisor John Stirrup and I will continue the series of Town Hall Meetings to solicit public input on update of the Land Use and Transportation chapters of the Comprehensive Plan Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.

Land Use Townhall Meeting Tonight!

After a break for August, the BOCS will resume its series of Town Hall Meetings to solicit public input on update of the Land Use and Transportation chapters of the Comprehensive Plan tonight (Thursday, 9/17/09).

The "Road Show" continues for citizens of the Coles district at the Development Services Building (5 County Complex Court Woodbridge, VA 22191).
